Flowers is an Award Winning Executive Producer, Ad Exec, Director, Creative, Writer, Entrepreneur and Actor. He listened carefully when his acting coach told him, “If you want to be a good actor, GET A LIFE!”
With this advice in mind, Flowers picked up his ADHD and moved from Maryland to California to pursue his craft, all the while collecting diverse life experiences that have given him rich stories, compelling characters, and great artistic depth.
Besides his extensive work in the entertainment industry, Flowers has been a teacher, motivational speaker, licensed massage therapist, photographer, certified personal trainer, and barber, etc. He has spent time in places throughout the U.S. and beyond, inhabiting various social circles and cultures, further honing his sense of perspective and constantly adding to his cache of stories. Who said having ADHD is all-bad???
The assorted chapters of Flowers' life seep into his artistic endeavors. Flowers co-executive produced the live TV show event, "HEAVEN SENT", which broadcasted on FOX and live streamed internationally on YouTube as a pay-per-view event. The show featured Luke Aikins jumping out of a plane from 25,000 feet with no parachute, no wingsuit and landing safely in a net. The event earned a Guinness Book of World Records. and garnered 1.42 billion media impressions. Under the same campaign the accompanying documentary, "The Journey to the Jump" aired on FS1 & Nat Geo. We also created "Heaven Sent - The Game" which was a mobile game that launched the day of the jump and debuted at #1 in the app store.
Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you look at it), in 2016, Flowers was ahead of his time when he co-produced the Black Lives Matter anthem, "Bigger Than Us. Bigger Than Us" which featured NBA’S 4x NBA Champion and 2 time MVP Stephen Curry and All-Star guard, Damian Lillard and was created for JBL. The content of the song and music video revolved around police brutality and racial injustice. It aired on "NBA ON TNT" (not as a commercial) on Dr. Martin Luther King Day. The music video and song was awarded Clio Gold, London International Award Gold, Cannes Bronze Lion and One Show Merit.
Recently Flowers created, directed and produced two commercials for Proctor & Gamble. He also co-executive produced a campaign with The Harlem Globetrotters which is the world's first NFT Sitcom starring Snoop Dogg, and Junebug.
Flowers was an early pioneer in the branded entertainment space with his contributions to BBDO’s Snickers’ hit streaming show, "Instant Def", which starred the Black Eyed Peas and Terry Crews, plus, Gatorade’s streaming sports and entertainment platform, missionG.com. Many folks know that missionG.com launched Gatorade Replay, but what they don’t know is that Flowers co-produced the series, "Leave It On The Floor", for the streaming platform. "Leave It On The Floor" was hosted by Derek Watkins (aka, Fonzworth Bentley) and featured several guests, including Korn, Nick Cannon, Will.I.Am, Lil' Wayne, the Jabbawockeez, Bootsy Collins, Chuck Brown and many more.
Flowers created and EP'd various pilots. One of which is a pilot with Jimmy Smith & Jesse Dylan, which was called, “Aww Funk Me!” “Aww Funk Me” stars, Legendary Musician, Bootsy Collins, 2022 Academy Award Winner Questlove of The Roots and The Choreographer of The 2007 Academy Awards, Fatima Robinson, and is currently being pitched to various networks.
Flowers has a series regular role on "DOUBLE CROSS" where he plays the no nonsense Chief of police, Chief Potts. He’s also known for playing the electrifying role of Detective Coles, (a corrupt DEA agent) in “Choices 2: The Set Up,” with Academy Award Winners, Three 6 Mafia.
His short film, "I'M A QUEEN" has high hopes of making a big impact in the lives of black America. This piece was written, directed, and produced by Flowers, due to be released in 2024. He is currently in development with several screenplays: “The Major State of America,” "FLEX KING," “Marry Me,” and his Television Series "Beautiful." Also in development are a host of Reality Shows and a Children’s Book series entitled, "The Royalty Crew" and another series called, “The Adventures Of Recess Shon.”
Flowers is fervent about his work. He received his B.A. in English from Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. “In the hustle and bustle of living the life as an artist, I have found a passion in the art of storytelling. As a creative, my personal ambition is to find ways to use my talents to heal lives and to bring laughter and entertainment into homes all across the world.”
